3-Tiered Yellow 80th Birthday Cake

April 14, 2021 0 Comments

Three-Tiered 80th Birthday Cake with yellow fondant roses. This cake is one of the best cakes I ever made so far. Hehehe, I am so proud! This was heartily baked and decorated for my loving aunt Mama Eda for her 80th birthday on the 20th of September. It was really my honor to make the cake. When my cousin contacted me to do this craft, I was so happy. For me, this was just like more than a gift because making this huge cake made me realized that truly I can do cake decorations and experienced a new way of creative thinking. Well, of course, I did some researched on how to stack the cakes, making flowers and the figurine.

The roses were made of mixed fondant and gum paste. I made all of those ahead of time to make it hard. The figurine was made of just fondant. I'm having a hard time making that figurine; it took me a while to figure it out how to make a granny looks. The lovely granny figurine that holds flowers setting on a lovely fondant chair surrounded with yellow flowers added to the great looks of my cake which made me very proud. The buttercream icing grass made the cake stand out.

The flavors of the cake were mocha and buko pandan as my cousin Criselda requested. I never had a taste of it but I heard comments from my cousins and some other guests. At the party, one of the guests who seated beside me said to the woman beside him (I thought is his wife), he doesn't like chocolate cake, so he pushes the cake away from him. While I was listening to their conversation, the woman told the guy, just taste it! So the man tasted the cake a little bit and his reaction made me so happy and content because he liked it then he asked for more cake LOLz...

Mama Eda was very happy when I presented the cake to her and so I am very happy too.

Angelynna's 6th Birthday

April 14, 2021 0 Comments

Angelynna was celebrating her 6th birthday on Dec. 30, 2015. On that day, she was really sad because she felt nobody remember her birthday. She asked me if she could go with me at work. I granted her wish to come to work on that day because I knew what she felt and thought that nobody cares to mention or sing a birthday song.

I observed her the whole day, she tried to smile and pretend to be happy. At her age, I thought she cried that easily and also thought that she forgot her birth date but I was totally wrong.

At 5:20 PM, when the children in my care and I went to the other classroom waiting for their respective parents to pick up, I never seen Angelynna anywhere in the daycare, I became so worried. I thought, she followed us! I went back to the classroom when I heard somebody's crying inside. My heart melts as I saw her crying in the corner of the classroom. I asked her what had happened, she simply said "nobody love's me" she sobbed... I told her how much I love her, the reason why I did not prepare her a birthday party because I was working however, I will make it up the next day on the 31st. By saying it, she stopped crying and started to smile and hugged me so tight.

One more she requested was the Clawdeen Monster High Birthday Cake. Although, this time she had no visitors but I can feel how happy she was.

Here's the video of her 6th birthday celebration.

Once Upon A Time in Calypso

 Calypso Water Park Field Trip

Calypso Water Park is Canada's Biggest and Best Theme Water Park.  July 10, 2015, was our Daycare Field Trip to Calypso. I was so thrilled and excited to go to this beautiful place. I am living here in Canada for 16 years now and this is my first time visiting this place. I am so thankful that I become one of the educators at Doremi Garderie because it gives me an opportunity to visit places I never went before.

At first, I planned to go just by myself so I can relax and enjoy but then I realized that I become so selfish to my children and husband that I know they also want to see and visit this place to enjoy. My children were overwhelmed by Calypso, it is indeed so beautiful place to visit. We stayed most of our time where my husband and I know our children were happy, the Pirate's Aquaplay and the Zoo Lagoon.

My baby Angelo really curious to go inside and play into the water while Angelynna was all over these two places going back and forth and when I become dizzy from following her, she stopped thanks to God.

DJ's favorite is the slides in the Zoo Lagoon where he spent a lot over there. DJ and Angie were hesitant to go at first because they thought it is deep but when they try to swim they do not want to go out from the water because they're both having fun. DJ keeps going back on to the slide plus the water is warm. While I am taking pictures, my husband was their lifeguard. He never leaves them even though he was tired and in pain. Kudos to you daddy!

Very nice ride splashed, DJ and Ynna. I knew you really enjoyed this trip.  DJ tried his best to swim. He told me "Mommy take a picture of me while I am swimming" lol... Mommy said, "OK, smile" hahaha.

My princess...I took this one after she got tired of running and going to two places. Angelo keeps his daddy busy hehehe... Angelo had fun playing the zebra spitting water What a ride on the head of the snake...Angelo sticks out his tongue to drink water. So curious little fellow... Picnic at the Calypso Selfie with my cutify My three chiquiting sweet and lovely...

Angelo 2nd Birthday Celebration

Angelo’s 2nd Birthday at Angrinon
My youngest Angelo celebrated his 2nd birthday twice. First, it was in the daycare, where he celebrated along with his educators Sharon and Shamsun and of course with all his friends at the daycare. He has a lot of fun playing and sharing his cake with his friends.

Then the second one was at the Angrinon park, where some of my friends, their children, and Angelo’s godparents Jovelyn and Jean-Luc were presents. The party was a successful one, everybody got to enjoy nature. Although, the sun was so hot and we even moved from one place to the other yet we still enjoyed the moment.

These
bouquets were made of cupcakes. I took my time making it for three hours the night before the celebration. It came out cute and beautiful. As always, I never thought I could make such bouquets like these however if we really are determined to do we can make it possible.

My friend who came to celebrate with us thought that it was real flowers, but when I said that those bouquets are cupcakes, she almost couldn't believe it. Making these cupcake bouquets was a part of my practice in decorating my sweet arts. I admired it very much and loving y creation hehehe I love my own! These cupcakes bouquets were placed at our center table.

Making sweet arts like this is slowly became my hobby and I really enjoyed every bit of it. I am looking forward to making it as if my body is already longing for creating something special. In this, my husband and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary with our friends and of course with our children. It was just a simple get-together barbeque in the backyard.

Aside from celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary, it was my hubby's birthday too plus Father's day celebration.

Mix Celebration: Angelo & my Birthday

Posted a while back on Facebook but I want these pictures posted in my blog too so I don't get lost & have it ready soon as my children want to see them.

These pictures were taken way back in August 2014. A mixed birthday celebration of my baby Angelo & mine.

As usual, we made the celebration just in our backyard with friends & family. Children were very happy playing freely & no limit of time hahaha.

Angelo was busy opening his gifts & then played after.
