A Heartfelt Surprise and a Gentle Reminder

December 15, 2021 0 Comments

What a pleasant surprise it was—a small gift from a child, though of course, it was the parents behind the thoughtful gesture. Just the idea that someone would take time to show appreciation to their child’s educator is so heartwarming. It reminds me that there are still parents who truly value and respect the role we play in their child’s life. After all, we spend long hours with their little ones, guiding, teaching, and caring for them as if they were our own.

Sadly, not all parents share the same appreciation. Believe it or not, there are some who still think of us as nothing more than babysitters. I’ve heard the hurtful term “glorified babysitter” more times than I can count—and every time, it stings. It dismisses everything we do and all the knowledge and dedication we bring to the classroom.

I hold a bachelor’s degree from my home country, and I also earned a diploma in Early Childhood Education here in Quebec. In 2015, the Ministère de la Famille recognized my qualifications and granted me a Level 2 certification the moment I entered the daycare field. Today, I am proudly working toward reaching Level 7. I’ve poured years of real-life experience and professional knowledge into this work—yet the salary often doesn’t match our efforts or our level. Still, I persist.

Unfortunately, some parents raise their eyebrows as if we lack any formal education. It’s true that not every educator has a degree—but many of them have a deep, natural understanding of how to connect with and care for young children. They aren’t simply “watching” the kids. They assist in implementing activity themes, supporting the work of qualified educators, and enriching the children's daily experience.

So when I receive even the smallest token of appreciation, it means the world to me. It’s not about the gift—it’s about being seen. It touches my heart and inspires me to keep giving my best. Every day, I work with love and purpose to help these little ones grow. We do far more than people realize. We support their emotional, physical, cognitive, and social development, one moment at a time.

These little angels depend on us—and we’re here, not just caring for them, but guiding them, inspiring them, and helping shape their future. That is our calling, and it’s a beautiful one.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Family Visit at Biodome Montreal

December 13, 2021 0 Comments

This video was taken last summer when we visited the Biodome of Montreal. My children had a blast experiencing seeing different exotic plants and animals on five different continents in one place. The Biodome of Montreal is a family-oriented place where all different ages can come and comfortably see the beauty of nature. By the way, Biodome is one part of the Montreal Space for Life. This is just like a living museum in Canada.

The sittings were totally different from the first time I visited the Biodome. This time, it is more convenient and beautifully done especially on the side where the penguins are. My children and I love the ice wall. This is where my children love the most especially my daughter.

There were so much to tell but I want to make it short, this place is awesome, awesome and awesome for the whole family.

My friend Sarah invited us to go to Cabane a sucre, this was in April 2014 at Cabane a sucre St. Pacquet & Cabane a sucre Chalet. It was really fun & I remember my husband met a guy which has exactly the same full name as him, very coincidence.

So glad I found these pictures but I think I post some of them on my Facebook.

Thanks, Sarah for inviting us, we really had fun, the DJ & Angelynna had a great experience riding the pony.

 Calypso Water Park Field Trip

Calypso Water Park is Canada's Biggest and Best Theme Water Park.  July 10, 2015, was our Daycare Field Trip to Calypso. I was so thrilled and excited to go to this beautiful place. I am living here in Canada for 16 years now and this is my first time visiting this place. I am so thankful that I become one of the educators at Doremi Garderie because it gives me an opportunity to visit places I never went before.

At first, I planned to go just by myself so I can relax and enjoy but then I realized that I become so selfish to my children and husband that I know they also want to see and visit this place to enjoy. My children were overwhelmed by Calypso, it is indeed so beautiful place to visit. We stayed most of our time where my husband and I know our children were happy, the Pirate's Aquaplay and the Zoo Lagoon.

My baby Angelo really curious to go inside and play into the water while Angelynna was all over these two places going back and forth and when I become dizzy from following her, she stopped thanks to God.

DJ's favorite is the slides in the Zoo Lagoon where he spent a lot over there. DJ and Angie were hesitant to go at first because they thought it is deep but when they try to swim they do not want to go out from the water because they're both having fun. DJ keeps going back on to the slide plus the water is warm. While I am taking pictures, my husband was their lifeguard. He never leaves them even though he was tired and in pain. Kudos to you daddy!

Very nice ride splashed, DJ and Ynna. I knew you really enjoyed this trip.  DJ tried his best to swim. He told me "Mommy take a picture of me while I am swimming" lol... Mommy said, "OK, smile" hahaha.

My princess...I took this one after she got tired of running and going to two places. Angelo keeps his daddy busy hehehe... Angelo had fun playing the zebra spitting water What a ride on the head of the snake...Angelo sticks out his tongue to drink water. So curious little fellow... Picnic at the Calypso Selfie with my cutify My three chiquiting sweet and lovely...

The Wonders of Nature Road trip from Montreal to Mont Tremblant

Oct. 10, 2020

My family and I decided to have a road trip to just have fresh air and also our first journey for looking at a place for us to live in. What? I'm dreaming, right? Lol'z....

Well, while sitting at the back of our van I decided to take picture of the amazing view along the road, the beautiful colors of the leaves, indicated that the weather is changed from Summer to Fall. I also realized that changes have a beautiful effect on itself and on every creature on earth.

Looking at the scenery made me wonder how beautiful to live here on earth, although I have so many obstacles in life in an overall view, I am still blessed. God love's me, you, and everybody here on earth.

This amazing scenery is totally awe, for a very long trip I never been so exhausted, I'm keeping taking pictures hahaha, even my children usually complain because they get bored but they've been occupied also. They took pictures and discussing the beautiful views.

Already a Year?

October 17, 2020 0 Comments

Wow, I set up this blog for my personal thingy, I mean personal blog but I decided to just set aside up until today. Then, I was thinking of to just continue this blog since this is free anyhow from Google, so why not using it.

What else I have to write here? You know, most of the time I am so tired and have nothing in mind except I want to lie down on the bed to relax me back. Yes, my back is really finished. I always feel throbbing pain every day and I am only 44 years old.

Just so sad, but I have to continue to work hard. I'm a mom of three children and my husband can't help me financially because he is also disabled.

Life is just so hard. I know and I really feel it since the day I born. Well, going back to already a year. Yes, this blog is about my journey and my family. This is not to broadcast the whole family thingy but I just want to share the memorable moments we have with my family back home in the Philippines. This is the only way, I can share my personal journey with my children here in Canada.
